CHARACTERISTICS

Mucilage contained in the parenchymatous tissue of the inner part of Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera), obtained by cold pressing and lyophilised. It is mainly composed of polysaccharides containing glucose and mannose; minor components having important biological activity are phytosterols, vitamins, enzymes, phosphorylated monosaccharides, amino acids and minerals.
