CHARACTERISTICS

Innovative vegetal extract obtained from common nettle leaves. This plant, widely distributed in temperate regions of both hemispheres, has been largely used in folk medicine and in cosmetics; nettle leaves contain several phytochemicals including phenolic compounds, carotenoids, chlorophyll, a carbohydrate fraction rich in pectins and hemicelluloses besides a high amount of protein substance and minerals. The extract contains the concentrated protein fraction and part of the water-soluble components typical of the plant. It is indicated for the formulation of both hair and skin care cosmetics thanks to its characteristic composition.
