KELISEMA hydrolyzates are obtained from high quality renewable vegetal and animal sources, including by-products or recycled sources, through an enzymatic extraction process without the aid of solvents. Specifically developed to respect the natural skin balance, our ingredients range offers the formulator a wide variety of actives to meet the needs of the various skin types and the different needs related to the development of effective, quality and sustainable-oriented cosmetic products.
Skin Care
Skin protection, especially during cleansing with surfactants, is of fundamental importance for maintaining a continuous skin hydrolipidic film. The protective effect of our protein hydrolysates is guaranteed by the excellent molecular weight of the protein substance; the peptides are able to create both a protective film on skin and to interact with the surfactant molecules to form micelles with a less aggressive power. The conditioning effect is enhanced by the characteristic amino acid composition.
For the formulations of cleansing products where a protective and conditioning effect is required, we especially recommend the following ingredients
Also available from traditional non-renewable animal sources
Our vegetal flours hydrolysates are an advantageous way to incorporate a complex of natural and skin-compatible substances with film-forming activity in formulations for topical use. In particular, the specific production process allows the extraction and solubilization of complex polysaccharides fractions, small peptides and the phytocompounds naturally present in flour.
For skin care formulations where a film-forming effect is required, intended also for delicate and sensitive skin, we especially recommend the following products
Our spirulina extract, beside being a delicate and skin-compatible active, has shown a particular inhibition effect on lipase enzyme making it a valid ingredient for the formulation of cosmetic products for combination, oily and acne-prone skin.
Protection from environmental agents has assumed an increasing importance in the last decades for cosmetics sector; in particular, the damage caused by oxidative stress seems to play a very important role in skin and hair health.
For the formulation of cosmetic products for skin protection against oxidative stress we suggest our olive extract.
The moisturizing effect of some protein hydrolysates is associated with a balanced ratio between protein substance molecular weight and a characteristic amino acid composition.
For the formulation of moisturizing products for skin care we especially recommend the following ingredients
